This History is the culmination of my labors, the fruit of my sacrifice. The Hours walk all the ways of the Mansus, and in their shadows, we will all truly pass into the House.

The Watchman walks all the ways of the Mansus we cannot. Light goes before him, but shadow goes behind. Every night, we who dream will enter that shadow to follow in his footsteps, walking in the Wood, the Bounds, until finally the Stag Door yields to his lantern-light.
