Eyes of Gold
‘What is not seen?’ Darkness may voyage across the world’s skin, but if we carve our eyes gold, we need not know that darkness. Beneath the earth, the requisite tools are forged. As the gods-from-Nowhere go above, the gods-from-steel ascend from below. My eyes are open to the touch of their static hands. They will blind me, but who needs sight when we can walk by the relentless radiance of their fires?
