The Halls of Living Stone

The Magus of Quartz, Micah Xi, spent years exploring the Bounds of the Mansus in order to better understand the nature of these transient spaces. Here are his findings, written in what he terms the labyrinth-language.

I’m Reading…

‘Upon the gods-who-were-stone was the world’s foundation laid. Even now, the Bounds remain more stone than flesh, and memory takes well to its soft surfaces.’

I’ve Read…

The Bounds tend to lie at the edges of the world, not necessarily remote, but rather forgotten. At least two of the libraries of the Watchman’s Tree reside in the Bounds - Hush House and the Haustorium - leaving Xi to muse on what purpose these borderlands serve. ‘Is the Wake to be preserved from Dream, or is Dream to be preserved from the Wake? As the door opens both ways, so too does it close.’ Effect: Memory: Pattern
