Felicidad Rosa

A duet for guitar and guitarrón, composed by a younger and bolder Enrique Esquivel for his thesis at the University of San Marcos.

I’m Reading…

Each chord plucks at the heart, harmonized dissonance drawing out soft joys and sorrows which bloom in the silence between. Esquivel and his partner wind their melodies through the body.

I’ve Read…

Esquivel never revealed who he performed this with, but faint woody creaks and groans call to mind the half-dead creatures known as the Burgeoning Risen. Such a mundane use for a spirit is questionable, but perhaps he meant to prove himself to authorities beyond the scope of academia.

’Quite the novelty -’

talk.visitor.intercept.enrique.felicidadrosa Requirements: Lic. Enrique Esquivel, t.felicidadrosa
Start Description: ‘The Duties tried destroying all recordings back then. It only makes sense for one to survive here. I still have the music, but I haven’t been able to find a suitable partner to perform it with. Would you mind if I bought this from you? For a silver spintria, and a little secret of the song?’ [Enrique will take the record and depart, forgetting about any current Incident.]
Description: ‘I composed one half of the piece, but the other I transcribed from a tune I heard in the Temple of the Wheel. At least, I think I heard it there. And that place has always been special to the Dead. Only right for one of them to play it. Thanks for the opportunity to reminisce, Librarian!’
