The Book of Brass
A bestiary on the warrior-creations of the Lionsmith from the marabout and healer Navil.
I’m Reading…
The Lionsmith rarely forges the same monster more than once, as many prove to be gluttonous layabouts who rarely stray from their lairs. Navil speculates this to be why his most prolific works are beholden to strictly-sourced diets to maintain their position and power.
I’ve Read…
When his creations are killed, they quickly denigrate into little more than dust and bones. Navil lauds this as a clever move of the Lionsmith, one which denies his scarred foe victory trophies, and shares his hopes for a monster which can return itself even from the finality of death.
