The Rainbow of Radiance

The reclusive painter Mireya Guertana describes ‘the shades of immortality’. The epigraph reads ‘To every hour its color, and to every minute its hue.’

I’m Reading…

Guertana writes on the sensuality of red, the passions of orange, the clarity of gold, and how these colors reach their utmost beneath ‘the Light behind the world.’ She confesses her own temptation to seek this Light, how it led her past the Puerta del Ciervo, but has sworn off further ascent in fear of attaining ‘a merciless heart of glass’.

I’ve Read…

‘Those with souls chiaroscuro dwell in the Wood, where all shadows are heightened. The palest need not step into Light, for their shades are already set, fated to be erased in time. Yet no one holds a soul of blue. For blue is the color of dreams, and every dream is bound to end.’ Effect: Memory: Revelation
