Thricotic Quipu

A quipu made of human hair recording the history of Quchanina, a Moth-long of a kind called ‘uyanantin’, and of her legacy amongst the Curicuillorians.
Initial Location: Museum of Old Things

I’m Reading…

When Quchanina arrived at the Haustorium, she was on the cusp of ascension. Beatriz Huaylas offered assistance in her final rites so long as she joined the Curicuillorians as a servant of the Witch-and-Sister. Before attaining immortality, she gave birth to a child, for a uyanantin such as her could not leave the Wood unless someone bearing her blood lived on the other side.

I’ve Read…

Quchanina’s descendants contributed hair to this quipu to mark her visits every year. For two centuries, she graced the halls of the Haustorium with Wood-lore and Witch-magics, but they gradually decrease in frequency. Only a single knot marks the last cord, left by Almudena Shuña in 1770, the very year she disappeared. It’s very unlikely Quchanina will ever come here again.
