The Laughingthrush stole away the eagle-eyes of the Sun, while the Sun stole away the mortal-masks of the Laughingthrush. The highmost vistas of the Mansus became hers, while the lowborn avatars of the Wake became his. As thieves, they respected the other; as victims, they pitied the other; so they promised to share the many tales they would garner from their spoils, for what was a tale without someone to hear of it?
