For eighty years, the Haustorical Mutuality labored in pursuit of forbidden knowledge. Forces mortal and immortal strove against them, but they were guarded at all times by a vigilant Protector. When the Earthquake came, their Protector made this shrine to their achievement as he set out his own aims for the Haustorium.
